Wellfit Kids Code of Conduct
Please make children aware of the expectations below and how we manage behaviour before they attend class.
I promise to follow the rules below so everyone has fun and feels safe.
1.
I will get changed into my kit, arrive on time and line up calmly outside the hall.
2.
I put my water bottle and belongings well to the side of the room before we start so they don't get in people's way. I will not touch things that belong to other people.
3.
I will behave when sitting down and taking part in circle time.
4.
I will not talk when the teacher is talking. I will listen and follow instructions the first time.
5.
I will leave a space between me and the next person when I line up to do my moves and take part in games.
6.
I understand the class is non-contact so I will not push, pull, grab, tackle, or bump into anyone.
7.
I will try my best, even if a move is tricky.
8.
If I need a break, I will raise my hand and ask politely, but I will try to go to the toilet before arriving so I don't need to disturb the class or miss any of it.
9.
I will only use equipment and take out a mat out if a teacher has given me permission to.
10.
I understand that I am a member of the Wellfit Kids community and that we all support each other to be the best we can be. I respect that people have different abilities will participate in their own way. I won't call anyone names or make any unkind comments in class.
If children break the Code of Conduct in class, their behaviour will be managed by following the steps below:
1st
They'll be reminded about the Wellfit Kids Code of Conduct during class
2nd
They'll be asked to move places and sit next to the teacher or a helper
3rd
They'll be asked to sit quietly on the side and not take part for a while. They'll only be invited back into participate in the class if they display a willingness to improve their conduct.
4th
If they need to be asked to sit on the side two classes in a row, the teacher will speak to their parent/carer about their behaviour.
5th
If a child's behaviour doesn't noticeably improve after the their parents have been spoken to, they will be asked not to return to Wellfit Kids for the rest of the term. This is so future classes can run safely, smoothly and everyone can attend with confidence that they'll have a good time. Children who have been asked to leave the remainder of a term are actively encouraged to return the next term for a second chance.
